Quality of life among adolescents with hemoglobinopathies

Background: Hemoglobinopathies constitute the commonest recessive monogenic disorders worldwide, and treatment of affected individuals presents a substantial global disease burden. Objectives: The purpose this study is to assess quality life among adolescents with hemoglobinopathies in Karbala City/ Iraq. Methods: cross-sectional quantitative approach was carried out on 200 participants who were attending hereditary blood center teaching hospital for children. questionnaire's dependability established through pilot study, it subsequently presented experts validation. information collected use interview techniques evaluated using descriptive inferential statistical analysis. Results: results current indicate that physical function related demonstrate (42.5%) adolescent are experienced moderate, emotional demonstrated (36.5%) (60.5%) moderate average M ± SD=47.63±24.38. Conclusion: concluded two fifth have function, One third Two social function.
